Lavender System

Hi, we're Lavender System. We're multiple people (we currently know of six of us) sharing a single brain/body.

Terminology

Headmates

This is a non-exhaustive list of us. Anyone who fronts is likely listed here.

Leah is our host (although she really hates that role) and most frequent fronter. She can be difficult for us to communicate with when she is not in front. While she uses it/its/she/her, we typically use only she/her for her to help differentiate her from Bridgett. She sometimes has memory problems when not in front, but it's not always consistent. She may need to be reminded of things sometimes but we try our best to leave notes for her if anything of importance happens. If you've interacted with us before, it was likely Leah. Leah is pretty immature, especially when not masking.

Bridgett

Bridgett is the first headmate that Leah discovered around April 2026, although it didn't begin fronting until early July 2026. It has full access to Leah's memories but struggles to identify who a memory belongs to. It's more mature than Leah but seems to struggle with words a bit more than she does. Bridgett enjoys drinking hot tea. While it prefers it/its, she/her is acceptable too. Bridgett is the second-most frequent fronter. It also goes by the nickname Bridges. It always uses periods, even when texting informally. It does not enjoy being near mirrors while in front and finds it a bit distressing to see our body while in front. Tends to get lonely in front. It often has to take care of Leah. It's also a bit quieter than Leah.

Lilith

Lilith rarely fronts and we don't know much about her yet. She is pretty mysterious to us. She has previously said there's approximately 10 other headmates we do not know of and that she sometimes hears them, but knows nothing else about them.

Identifying Who is in Front

We tend to prefix messages with typing indicators to indicate who is in front. Offline we have bracelets for each of us listed above that have our color and name. We wear the bracelet for who is currently fronting on the same wrist as our watch. The other wrist may have bracelets as well but this is only for storage. While we typically have only one bracelet on our watch wrist, there may be times we have multiple on if we currently feel like a mix of headmates (blended) or even not wear any bracelets at all if we are unable to identify who we currently are (blurry). We're typically blendy while switching. You can also just ask who is currently fronting if you're unsure.

Referring to Us

We prefer being referred to as ourselves if you're aware of who is currently fronting. If you'd like to refer to us as a system then Lavender System or just Lavender work. As a system we use it/its but she/her is good too.

If you'd like to refer to us as a singlet, like around people who are unaware of our plurality, then the name Leah works. Referring to us by the wrong name isn't a problem but we might correct you.

We're not very public about this, especially offline, since we're unsure how to tell people and explain everything. If we sent you this page it's probably because we felt it would be good for you to know, so thanks for being cool and making us feel safe enough to do that. If someone else shared this page with you, um please be nice to us? Or if you don't want to be nice to us then you could just pretend you never read this page at all and keep thinking we're singlet.
